BeerReal asks for your camera and your location, so here is exactly what happens to both. There is no public feed and no discover tab — if you have not accepted someone as a friend, they cannot see a thing.
Your feed, map and board show you and the friends you accepted. Nothing else, nobody else.
A coordinate is saved with the beer you just logged — never tracked in the background, never while the app is closed.
There is no ad network and no data broker in the loop. Your photos exist to be a beer log, nothing more.

No. BeerReal runs in your browser and works on any phone. Add it to your home screen and it opens full-screen like a normal app, camera and all.
Only the friends whose requests you accepted. There is no public profile, no discover feed and no way to browse strangers' pours.
An AI vision check runs on every pour and returns a confidence score you can see. It is a speed bump, not a lie detector — the point is to keep the log honest, not to police your friends.
Yes. Decline the prompt and the beer is still logged and still counts — you can drop the pin yourself on a map, or skip the pin entirely.
Yes. Deleting a beer log deletes its photo, and emailing support@beerreal.com removes your whole account and everything tied to it within 30 days.
